Response to Reading
As a class we are reading and sharing responses to 'Ihe Explorer'. The Explorer by Katherine Rundell is a fabulous adventure story, which links beautifully to our Ammazon Geography topic. It tells the tale of Fred and Conn and a Brazilian girl Lila and her little brother Max who find themselves lost in the Amazon rainforest after a plane crash. The story has several unexpected twists and turns that are great for inspiring discussion and writing.
BoomReader
All reading activity is recorded onto the digital reading record app BoomReader. It is a quick and easy way to track reading both at school and at home.
Readers of the week
Every week we track and recognise the top six children that have added the largest number of entries onto BoomReader. Could it be your child this week? Please continue to listen to your child read and ask questions about the text.
In science, we have recently learned about forces in action. The below photographs show the children investigating gravity.
