The Year Two Classroom

Have a look at some of the learning areas and displays around the classroom, as well as our new and improved reading area!

Our class story is 'The Owl who was afraid of the dark' by Jill Tomlinson.

In English, we are reading 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers. We are going to use this book as inspiration when writing our own setting descriptions.

Home Learning

Home learning will focus on the basic skills (reading, phonics & maths) covered in class that week. Each piece of home learning will be set on a Friday afternoon on Google Classroom and due in the following Thursday – where it can be submitted on Google Classroom.


Phonics & Spelling

Words will be set to recap our learning and reviewed in class during the following week. Please practice reading and writing them at home



Maths home learning will be set on mathletics. Logins will be sent home, if you need them reprinted then please let me know.
